Tourists enjoy the first piece of new dike in Westende

An extension of the dyke should stop waves, there is a lower footpath, and greenery has been laid out.

The dike is therefore primarily a protector against natural disasters from the sea, but at the same time a tourist asset: walkers now have more sun on the dike.
