Tourism sector requests postponement of VAT increase: “January 1, 2026 is simply unfeasible”

The tourism sector is raising the alarm about the planned VAT increase on entrance tickets. Amusement parks, museums and other attractions say that they will no longer be able to pass on the higher costs from January 1, 2026, because many reservations and contracts have already been made. They are therefore asking for a postponement and a gradual introduction of the new rate.
