CYCLING – It has been unclear for a long time whether the race could go ahead, but this afternoon it is back on the program: the Tour of Drenthe. On a new course, with a finish on the VAM mountain, this edition only has the women’s turn. The race can be seen on TV Drenthe from 4 p.m.
The organization was only able to provide a definitive answer last month about the continuation of the Women’s WorldTour race in Drenthe. But because the new competition involves five laps around and over the ‘Col du VAM’, no police presence is required and volunteers can manage the tour.
The race starts at 1:45 PM at the town hall in Beilen and the finish is scheduled around 5:45 PM on the VAM mountain near Wijster. The final can be followed live from 4 p.m. on TV Drenthe and via our website and app.
