The mountain finish at the Vallter ski station at over 2,000 meters was canceled from the program due to strong winds.

The queen stage awaits

The queen stage of the week-long tour takes place on Friday. On the 155.3 km long route, just over 4,500 meters of altitude have to be overcome; the final climb to the Coll de Pal is 16.5 km long and is 7.2 percent steep on average.

The climbing sections are an important test of form for the climbing specialists around 100 days before the start of the Tour of France.

Attack expected from Vingegaard

Godon, winner of the first and third stages, is 13 seconds ahead of Pidcock in the overall standings. The Belgian Remco Evenepoel (+0:14 minutes) from the German team Red Bull-Bora-hansgrohe is just behind in third place. Tour third Florian Lipowitz is only a short distance away.

An attack on the overall lead can also be expected from two-time Tour winner Jonas Vingegaard (Visma-Lease a Bike/+0:24).
