The Dutch racing team Visma-Lease a bike took part in the dress rehearsal for the start of the Tour de France an exclamation mark placed. The team around Paris-Roubaix-Winner Wout van Aert won the team time trial of the third stage on Tuesday (June 9th, 2026). Tour Auvergne Rhone-Alpes in front of the British team from Netcompany Ineos and EF Education-EasyPost from the USA with overall leader Alex Baudin.

The Visma team was in after 28.4 kilometers Perreux nine seconds ahead of Netcompany Ineos with podium candidate Oscar Onley. Baudin and Co. needed 29 seconds longer. The Frenchman still successfully defended the top spot in the overall standings, his lead is twelve seconds over the Netcompany duo Onley and Kévin Vauquelin.

Seixas loses some time

Red Bull-Bora-hansgrohe had to be content with fifth place (+40 seconds). The ambitious German racing team expects to have a great chance of winning the yellow jersey in the fight against the clock at the start of the Tour of France on July 4th in Barcelona with time trial world champion Remco Evenepoel and Florian Lipowitz.

The French top talent Paul Seixas and his team Decathlon-CMA CGM came in sixth place, 45 seconds behind. The 19-year-old is now in twelfth place in the overall standings and remains in the race for victory, one minute behind Baudin. However, the competition around Juan Ayuso (Lidl-Trek) and Matteo Jorgenson (Visma-Lease a bike) gained a few seconds. Isaac Del Toro (UAE Emirates-XRG) fell back to 16th place.

Hilly stage awaits

The hilly fourth stage continues on Wednesday. There are six mountain classifications on the program over 167.4 kilometers, the last 35 kilometers are largely flat. The successor race of the Criterium du Dauphiné ends on Sunday.
