England international
After missing out on international business – for the first time since the 2009/10 season – Tottenham Hotspur is gearing up for the coming season. England international James Maddison comes from Leicester City. The “Foxes” were not ready to sell Maddison last January, after being relegated from the Premier League and with a remaining contract of one year, the 26-year-old is now paying a whopping fee that puts him in the top 5 most expensive Tottenham access jumps.

According to reports, the “Spurs” will pay 46.3 million euros for Maddison, who has signed a contract until 2028. Tottenham, who only invested three more commitments, are said to have prevailed against Newcastle United in the courtship of the offensive player. Maddison, who switched from Norwich City to Leicester five years ago for €25m, was directly involved in 96 goals in 203 games for the “Foxes”. In the past season there were ten goals and nine assists in 32 appearances.
