Midfielder Eduardo Camavinga from Real Madrid is expected to be sidelined for several months after tearing the lateral ligament in his knee. The Royals announced the results of a corresponding investigation on Friday; the Frenchman had previously been injured during a national team training session.

The 21-year-old will therefore miss Real’s last two Champions League group games against Napoli and Union Berlin. The currently second most valuable French professional moved from Rennes to the Spanish capital in 2021 at the age of 18 for a fee of 31 million euros and has won six titles with the record champions in his first two seasons to date (for an overview).
