Top scorer Youssef El Kachati is the first desired attacking transfer for Telstar

Telstar’s first summer acquisition is a fact. Youssef El Kachati comes over from Quick Boys and makes the switch from the second division to the first division. El Kachati is the current top scorer in the second division. El Kachati signs a one-year contract with an option for a second year.

With one round to go in the second division, El Kachati is well in the lead in the top scorers’ standings. The Quick Boys striker was accurate 24 times this season. In the past, El Kachati played for Sparta Rotterdam, VV Noordwijk, the Belgian KVC Westerlo and last season for Quick Boys. He made his professional debut at Sparta and scored three times in ten first division matches.

“We are very pleased to welcome the first addition of this summer today,” says Peter Hofstede, technical manager of Telstar. “For the new season we are looking for extra productivity in the front and as top scorer of the Second Division El Kachati fully fits that profile. Moreover, despite his young age, Youssef has already gained the necessary experience.”

Attacking reinforcement

With the arrival of El Kachati, Telstar has the first desired attacking player. David Min will return to RKC Waalwijk and Glynor Plet will most likely end his time at Telstar. “If we find several players who will complete opportunities, then I think we have a good chance of the play-offs,” says Hofstede.
