Cambuur had been leading 0-1 for three minutes, but thanks to a penalty, TOP equalized after fifteen minutes. It turned out to be the only goal for the home team, who conceded two more before half-time and another five after the break.
Despite the 1-0 loss to Jong Ajax, Willem II remains in second place. The Tilburg team now has the same number of points as ADO Den Haag, which managed to beat Jong PSV 1-2 in Eindhoven.
FC Eindhoven picked up a point against leader Roda JC and is now in eighth place.
