BERLIN – Top German politicians reacted angrily to Elon Musk’s opinion piece in the newspaper Welt am Sonntag, in which he expressed his support for Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) as a final ‘salvation’ for Germany. Critics see the declaration of support in the run-up to the elections in February as a form of foreign interference. An opinion editor of the newspaper in question resigned immediately after publication.
