It was hard for Albert Verlinde to swallow: last week he was convicted of libel by the Public Prosecution Service. According to the judge, he deliberately affected Humberto Tan’s good name with a few statements at the desk of Shownieuws. He has not worked there since this summer.
False Tooske
Tooske Ragas discussed the news last week in a Shownieuws broadcast presented by her. She has been extremely false in that item, thinks NPO star Gijs Groenteman.
Gijs in his Media Inside program: “What I find so dirty about Tooske is that she immediately refers to ‘our former colleague’ Albert Verlinde. He is immediately put aside like: we don’t want anything to do with that anymore. You’re forever colleagues, aren’t you? I think it’s a bit of a prank on her.”

Colleague Marcel van Roosmalen finds it particularly striking that Shownieuws treated the item so excitedly. “They were incredibly excited at Shownieuws that they were a crime scene themselves and that there was gossip in their program about something that was not right. I also think that is very special.”
Albert has not informed Shownieuws. “They had also called Albert Verlinde for comment and he did not pick up the phone. Not available for comment. That’s what former colleagues still do in that world.”
