Since last Thursday, tv3 has been the subject of controversy for parody about the Virgin of Rocío which was broadcast in the program ‘Està passant’, presented by Toni Soler. The president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Morenohas demanded this Saturday that the chain apologize for the ‘gag’ starring the actress judith martin. The Federation of Andalusian Cultural Entities in Catalonia (FECAC) has also joined the same plea, considering it a “lack of respect.”

Although some people have been offended by the joke, others have come out in defense of this humorous scene and have defended that TV3 has also done the same type of ‘gag’ with La Virgen de Montserrat‘La Moreneta’, who is the patron saint of Catalonia. In fact, on that occasion it was also the actress Judit Martín who played the Catalan virgin.
