with videoToni Kroos provided sensational television just after the Champions League final on Saturday against Liverpool. The German Real Madrid midfielder angrily broke off an interview with the ZDF after two critical questions. “You’ve had 90 minutes to come up with sensible questions.”

Kroos was immediately annoyed when reporter Nils Kaben was the first on the field in Paris to object that Real’s victory was not obvious given the course of the game. “What do you mean not natural? Winning the Champions League is not easy. We fought and knew Liverpool are a super team. We won. Ready,” the 32-year-old German snapped.

Then, when asked if he was surprised that Real had been so crushed against Liverpool, Kroos was completely fed up. “You’ve had 90 minutes to come up with sensible questions and then you ask me two such stupid questions. Surprising that you sometimes get into trouble against Liverpool? What kind of question is that? We don’t play a group game or anything. We are playing the Champions League final. Really bad, really bad, really.”

Kroos won the Champions League for the fifth time in his career, four times with Real, once with Bayern Munich. Karim Benzema, Luka Modric and Dani Carvajal also stood with big ears in their hands for the fifth time in their careers.
