Yle’s long-time news anchor Tommy Fränti has published pictures from his trip to Lapland on his Instagram account. Fränti has published pictures of wonderful restaurant dishes as well as majestic landscapes.

With beautiful landscape pictures, Fränti has told his news. Fränt’s wife Saara Kovero died last March at the age of 44.

– It’s been almost a year since you left for heaven and we followed you here, because you can see the sky better here. Now we are here again and today it felt like you were too, Fränti writes.

– Lapland was beautiful today, Saara.

Fränt’s beautiful writing has touched many.

– You write so beautifully about sadness, longing and love, news anchor Kirsi Alm-Siira commented.

Fränti talked about his life in an interview with Kainuu Sanomat at the beginning of January.

– I experienced the biggest loss of my life, but it has also, in a certain way, clarified many things. I have become convinced that all this beauty can be taken away from us at any moment. That’s why I try to live in this moment, Fränti told the magazine in an interview.

Fränti said that he hates the words associated with him.

– I’m not a widow, I’m a man. I’m not a single parent, I’m a father, a parent, Fränti told the magazine.

Fränti opened his reasons for giving the interview on social media.

– During the past year, I have refused all interview requests. But when Kainuu calls, I answer. Because the roots. And since we were talking about life, Fränti wrote on Twitter.
