Andrei Hakulinen has recovered to playing condition.

HPK gets an important piece in its lineup for tonight’s TPS match. Tomi Natri / AOP

The most interesting game of the day

HPK made two top acquisitions for this season. HIFK has already left the club Kristian Vesalainen and from the Augsburger Panther in the DEL league, who scored 71 points in two seasons Andrei Hakulinen.

Hakulinen has suffered from an injury that prevented him from playing until now, but today the 35-year-old winger finally gets to make his season debut. The last time Hakulinen played in the League was in the 2022–2023 season, scoring 13+25=38 in 48 games of the regular season in Luko’s shirt.

By getting a feel for the game and staying healthy, Hakulinen increases HPK’s playing power significantly. The other two HPK debutants are a 26-year-old defender who arrived in Hämeenlinna from the ECHL and the AHL Garrett Pyke as well as a 25-year-old striker who already visited the team last season Thomas Caron (5-2=7 for 15 matches). The investments signal at least that HPK has not thrown in the towel for this season.

The normal men on the sideline are the attacker Markus Loponen and Packages Arturs Andzans and Jules Boscq. There is no need to make a big deduction from these. Start with HPK’s goal Kim Saarinen (91.02% / 2.42 / -10.87).

In the case of TPS, the most significant lineup news is also positive. Last time against Kärppi, the team’s goal stick got a strange knock and left the game Aleksi Saarela is in playing condition again. The most notable absences from TPS are the striker Tim Söderlund and defender Oliver Lauridsen. The ball club opens with a goal Noa Vali (88.74% / 2.67 / -1.22).

The two previous meetings between the teams this season have been very low-scoring (HPK–TPS 2–3 and. and TPS–HPK 1–0). However, a total of 11.2 goals have been created in those matches, so it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if the teams with strong skating skills didn’t score at all in tonight’s match.

It is a high-stakes game in terms of playoff spots, as TPS is tenth in the table with 51 points and HPK is thirteenth with 48 points.

Regarding the match’s balance of power, I am more in favor of TPS than Veikkaus, and Palloseura’s victory in the actual game time is even valid until the receipt with a 3.50 offer. Even the promised 1.73 of over 4.5 goals can fit up to the tag with an estimate of 59%.

HPK–TPS starts at 18:30.

The best betting tip of the day

Friday’s best football search can be found in La Liga.

The absolute positive surprise of the season is Espanyol, currently in fifth place in the table. I still don’t think the group is quite as good as its results indicate, but on the other hand, it’s not on the verge of collapsing with its current performances.

The Achilles heel of the team is still scoring and finishing. There are 23 goals scored in 19 matches (1.2 per game). Especially against a weaker side, Espanyol is in trouble when they run into a defensive quagmire. This is primarily due to the fact that the team’s success has been based on the collective, and there are not so many defenses that are lying low with one skill. Several teams have not been able to position themselves defensively enough against Espanyol.

Girona has got new colors to its horror season after the team won three of its last four games. The team has risen from the relegation zone and its good coach Michel knows the realities of his team.

Girona’s strength is not attacking – the team’s offensive material is even the weakest in the league. There are 18 goals scored in 19 games. Against Espanyol, Michel knows how to set up his team in defensive positions.

Even in advance of this game, significantly less goals than the market estimates. Over the course of the week, under 2.5 goals have been marked with a coefficient of 1.77. The 1.72 now offered is no longer particularly interesting – perhaps still a borderline case. Espanyol–Girona starts at 22:00.

The best case in ice hockey is the Bern–Lugano match under 5.5 goals with a coefficient of 1.80. This starts at 20:45.

Games of the day: HPK–TPS 2 (coefficient 3.50), HPK–TPS over 4.5 goals (coefficient 1.73) and Bern–Lugano under 5.5 goals (coefficient 1.80).

Last year’s total balance of the day’s games: 13/21/103%
