Wilfred Genee reveals that Today Inside will be shown on SBS 6 later this year, namely in November, not five but seven days a week.
The men of Today Inside still have more than three weeks to go with their program. Due to their unexpected candle break, they will continue a little longer, namely until Friday 17 June. Is presenter Wilfred Genee counting down the weeks? “Well, I’m done”, the presenter admits in the online video column Corridors†
Wilfred wants a holiday
Wilfred is done with it for a while. “Not so much that I don’t like the program anymore, but I do notice that with last year I only had a week and a half holiday in the winter. I would now like to get a little more fresh again.”
He continues: “Of course you also see – and that is our greatest danger – that we make so many broadcasts that sometimes things happen… But because of this I am now in a phase of: what does this program stand for? What is this? (…) I honestly don’t know anymore. I’ve been driving here lately that I’m all the time thinking, well, yeah…”
By after the summer
Will VI definitely continue after the summer? “Yes, but that was always the intention. I think we are already scheduled for mid-August. But that could just be different and moreover: let’s first make it to June 17th. Then we look further. They are huge daily rates.”
Later in the year, around the World Cup, it is already VI on SBS 6. “In November we run seven days a week. Then it gets really busy.”
