TM database: All international matches of Albania can be called up – Lala with the second most games

…better and better!

Another milestone has been added to the transfer market statistics. All the games played by the Albanian national team are now available and retrievable in our database. Ex-professional Lorik Cana played the most games for the red-blacks with 92. In second place is the former Hanoverian Altin Lala, a formerly well-known face from the Bundesliga (79 games).

In the category of top scorers, Erjon Bogdani, who spent most of his active career in Italy, is just ahead with 16 goals, beating Alban Bushi and Ervin Skela, who played for Eintracht Frankfurt and Energie Cottbus, among others, (both 14). First among the still active professionals is Armando Sadiku from UD Las Palmas in fourth (12).

The Albanians scored their biggest victory in their history on August 12, 2009, when the team beat Cyprus 6-1 in an international match – at that time Skela scored twice. The clearest defeat was in double digits, but it was more than 70 years ago: In Hungary on September 24, 1950 it was 0:12.
