There is a prestigious vacancy open at the public broadcaster, namely that of television director at the NPO. After all, Frans Klein has made the switch to Talpa. It is currently unclear whether anyone is already eyeing this important position. In any case, there is one lady who is interested: Tina Nijkamp.

Tina in Frans’ place?

Tina is now a viewing figure whisperer, but used to be the channel boss of SBS 6 and was elected Broadcaster of the Year in that capacity. So it can do something. She’s getting up NPO Radio 1 asked about her ambitions.

She says: “I should be in a few years… Not now, because I am also studying law now, so I either want to become a media law lawyer in the future, but I would also very much like – about a few years, not now, because my children are still small and I know it’s a full-time job is – would like to become director of Video at the NPO.”

‘They can call’

Presenter Jurgen van den Berg: “Oh, because there is a vacancy now. A gentleman has left for SBS.”

Tina: “Yes, that’s right. If he had left a few years later, that would be good. But I would still like to do something like that.”

Jurgen: “They can call you.”

Tina: “Yes, sure. Certainly.”

Did not sleep well

When she looks back on her years at SBS, what was the worst thing she slept on? “That was a bit at the end when I was there. That was The Saturday Evening Show with Marc-Marie Huijbregts and Beau van Erven Dorens. Yes, that really woke me up.”

She continues: “If only because when I say it now, you think: huh, Marc-Marie Huijbregts and Beau van Erven Dorens on SBS?! Exactly that! It actually didn’t fit at all. They themselves did not like it at all. No, I slept badly because of that. And it didn’t score either.”

Marc-Marie

Oops, it is clear that Marc-Marie no longer has to count on a nice television job at the NPO if Tina becomes the boss there. She previously revealed that he pulled her away from her sister’s bedside for a trifle.

Incidentally, Tina is causing quite a stir in Hilversum today, because she published yesterday’s viewing figures, while these are supposed to be secret these days. According to RTL Boulevard an investigation is now being launched: “We are disappointed that someone in our industry has not followed the publication rules.”
