Timo Werner landed in a private jet – change before completion

Now things can happen very quickly with the comeback of the DFB star in the Bundesliga: Timo Werner will arrive in Leipzig on Monday evening – with special “help”.

The return of national soccer player Timo Werner to DFB Cup winner RB Leipzig is imminent. The TV channel Sky showed footage of the arrival of the 26-year-old from Chelsea in a black limousine with a club number plate at a luxury hotel in Leipzig on Monday evening. According to the picture, Werner had previously landed in a private jet from Red Bull boss Dietrich Mateschitz in the trade fair city.

On Tuesday the medical check is on the program, after which the signature is expected. Werner is said to cost 19.5 million euros plus bonuses and receive a four-year contract.

The striker moved from Leipzig to London two years ago for 53 million euros and won the Champions League with Chelsea in 2021. However, Werner was not able to earn a regular place in the team of team manager Thomas Tuchel. In 89 compulsory games, he scored 23 goals for the Blues.

Another player approaching Leipzig

Werner had already been under contract in Leipzig from 2016 to 2020 and had become Saxony’s top scorer with 90 goals in 156 competitive games, plus 40 assists. During this time, the native of Stuttgart also made his debut in the national team, for which he has played 53 international matches since 2017.
