Will Cyriel Dessers stay with Feyenoord or will he return to Racing Genk? The Rotterdammers have until Wednesday evening 1 June to raise the purchase option, but still do not have an agreement with the hired striker.
Feyenoord wants to continue with Dessers and Dessers with Feyenoord, but the two parties still have to find each other. Negotiations are difficult. The option of four million euros can only be exercised after an agreement.
However, there is not much time left. Genk also wants clarity. The club does not intend to relax the deadline. Technical director Dimitri de Condé recently indicated that he would welcome Dessers ‘back to Genk with open arms’.
Dessers is currently on the road with the Nigeria national team. In his basic debut against Mexico he still showed himself.
