TikTok will restrict access to Russian state media RT and Sputnik in the EU, informed publication NPR representative of the company.
Previously, Microsoft also statedwhich will remove RT news apps from its app store, prevent any RT or Sputnik content from appearing in the Microsoft Start news feed and on MSN.com, and demote those sites in Bing search results.

On February 27, the European Union banned RT broadcasting, and also announced the blocking of the work of Sputnik and their subsidiaries. The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, said that these media are “the Kremlin’s media machine” and the ban will stop the spread of “toxic and harmful disinformation” by these media in Europe.
