Thirteen -year -old Tijn from Valkenswaard, who was missing since January 14, is justified. He reported himself to someone on Monday evening, who called the police. The police report that he seems to be in good health.
The boy is housed in a safe place, after he walked away from a foster family in Eindhoven at the beginning of this year. The investigation into where Tijn has been all those months will continue. “We still ask people who have information about this to share it with us,” the police call.
“Although he is right now, it is not yet clear where Tijn has been all the time and whoever helped him to stay under the radar,” the police said. “The research team still has many questions about what has happened to Tijn in recent months, where he has been and who may have been involved in it.”
Father and stepmother arrested
Last Thursday the police picked up his father (50) and stepmother (40) in their house in Dommelen. They would have withdrawn from the legal authority. In other words: the police suspect them of having hidden them from the foster family and/or his biological mother, or at least they knew where Tijn was hidden.
The father and stepmother are still stuck and will be brought before this Tuesday. The examining magistrate determines whether they are stuck.
Photo of Tijn
The police spread a photo of the boy shortly after Tijn’s loss. Now that he is justified, the police call on to remove the investigation photo.
