It was a big viewing hit during the coronalockdown last year: De Verraders. In March and April on the broadcast evening itself, an average of 1.6 million people watched per episode and including delayed viewing, there were even 2.1 million. The second season still scores a lot less convincing.

Record low

Presenter Tijl Beckand already took lower viewing figures into account due to the changed circumstances – there is no longer a lockdown. And that’s a good thing, because there are really fewer people watching now. The kick-off last week attracted almost 1.2 million people and yesterday there were still 1 million (18% market share) left.

It is a record low for The Traitors. Never before has the program attracted so few viewers. Yesterday evening, two programs simultaneously attracted more viewers: Bed and Breakfast scored 1.2 million viewers (22%) on NPO 1 and Twee voor Twaalf attracted almost 1.2 million viewers (21%) to NPO 2.

Fortuyn series

The other most watched prime-time titles were Het Jaar van Fortuyn with 690 thousand viewers (15%) on NPO 1, the women’s football match Netherlands – Cyprus with 689 thousand viewers (14%) on NPO 3 and Today Inside with 606 thousand viewers (13 %) on SBS 6. Immediately before VI, De Alleskunner VIPS attracted 467 thousand viewers (8%).

The talk shows scored as follows: Op1 (891 thousand), Today Inside (606 thousand), Jinek (542 thousand), Time for MAX (459 thousand) and HLF8 (279 thousand).

Viewing figures

Programs that (also) did not reach the top fifteen viewing figures include Hart van Nederland (603 thousand), Nieuwsuur (506 thousand), Shownieuws (459 thousand) and Ewout in the Ghetto (101 thousand).
