A cold front from the direction of the North Sea ensures changeable weekend weather in Berlin and Brandenburg.

Short thunderstorms and sleet showers are to be expected on Saturday afternoon, especially north of the capital, according to the German Weather Service (DWD). Wind and storm gusts can reach between 50 and 70 kilometers per hour. The temperatures are between 15 and 18 degrees. In the evening it should be quieter.

On Sunday night it will be foggy with 3 to 6 degrees. Local temperatures can drop to 0 degrees.

Sunday starts off friendly with lots of sunshine. The last clouds should be gone by evening. According to the DWD, the maximum temperature is 17 degrees. A light wind is blowing.

Also in the night to Monday it will be cool again. The meteorologists expect ground frost at minus one degree.

At the start of the new week, the sun will continue to shine on Monday with a maximum of 19 degrees. For the evening, however, the next clouds are already expected. It can also rain lightly in places.
