The accident happened around 11 p.m. on the Mendès-France boulevard last night. The victims’ car left the road for unknown reasons. No other vehicles were reported to have been involved. The identity of the victims is not yet clear.

The Roubaix fire brigade immediately arrived and could only determine death for an adult who was ejected from the car. Despite attempts at resuscitation, two children aged 8 and 12 also had to be pronounced dead at the scene.

The two other occupants of the car – an adult and a child – were taken to a hospital in Lille. They would be in very good shape.
