Thousands of people at National Remembrance Day: respectful two minutes of silence, several demonstrators removed

On Monday evening, the Netherlands received the National Remembrance Day it deserves: with respect and two minutes of actual silence, our country remembered everyone who died in war situations or during peace operations during or after the Second World War. At the National Remembrance Day on Dam Square in Amsterdam, a trumpet player blew the tattoo signal, after which the thousands of attendees observed silence.
