Thousands of Dutch people suffer from American tax legislation: ‘I want my life back’

For years, a group of Dutch people have been sighing under the yoke of the American tax authorities. Their bond with America – for example, they have an American parent, or were born in the distant past – makes them experience problems with the application for bank accounts, mortgages and other financial products. On Monday they were therefore (again) in court towards the Dutch tax authorities.
