Those who have commercial vehicle can escape speed fine by gap in legislation

Drivers of commercial vehicles who receive a GAS fine for a speeding violation can in some cases escape from that. That’s because there are some gaps in the law. “Traffic legislation will have to be adjusted anyway,” says Professor Mobility and Traffic Dirk Lauwers (Ghent University). “The current system, where only the driver can be fined, is not sustainable in the long term.”
