Thorgan Hazard opens Red Court in Waregem

The ex-Zulte Waregem player is an ambassador for the embellished football field. The Red Court is an initiative of the football association in which old football squares are transformed into modern mini-football temples. “I have a nice history with Waregem. In addition to the stadium, where I played for two years, and where we had fantastic moments. When they told me I could be an ambassador here, I immediately said yes. I was looking forward to it in, and I’m also incredibly proud to have my picture here.”

The square in Waregem is the first Red Court in West Flanders. It is located between the training complex of Essevee and Waregem Expo. Robin Cnops: “We are making a whole story about social inclusion. It is very important that we do that together with the city, with the local football club, with youth organizations, everyone who wants to put their shoulders to the wheel. We are going to organize meaningful activities here “For the youth. At first it remains a meeting place, but we also want to teach the young people something through football.
