After FC Bayern announced the separation from coach Thomas Tuchel at the end of the season, speculation about his future gained momentum. A move to FC Barcelona could possibly even take place soon.
At least that’s what “Sky” assumes. Although there has so far been no contact between the 50-year-old and the Catalans, he was already on the list of the reigning Spanish champions before his departure from FC Bayern was announced.
It is said that a quick agreement can no longer be ruled out. Tuchel is not planning any time off and would therefore be open to a new job immediately from next season.
However, it remains to be seen how hot Barca’s interest in the outgoing FC Bayern coach really is.
The Catalan online newspaper “El Nacional” recently reported that the many internal differences surrounding him on Säbener Strasse and the uninspiring sporting results of the last week had raised doubts about Tuchel’s suitability among club boss Joan Laporta and Co.

So far the only thing that is certain is that Tuchel will not be able to continue in Munich. “In an open, good conversation, we came to the decision to mutually end our collaboration in the summer. Our goal is to reorient the sport with a new coach for the 2024/25 season,” explained CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen Decision.
“We have agreed that we will end our collaboration after this season. Until then, I and my coaching team will of course continue to give everything for maximum success,” said Tuchel, who was most recently traded for West Ham United in the English Premier League.
Several media outlets had already reported unanimously about the separation from FC Bayern. Sporting but also interpersonal problems are said to have meant that “business as usual” with Tuchel at FC Bayern was no longer possible.
