Due to Thom Yorke’s severe sore throat, two gigs have to take place at different times.

Radiohead are currently on a big tour. There were also four shows planned in Copenhagen in December, of which it is now clear that the first two cannot take place as planned. The reason: Thom Yorke is in too poor health to perform at the moment.

Then the gigs will be rescheduled

Radiohead were scheduled to perform at the Royal Arena in Copenhagen on December 1st and 2nd. But nothing will come of it, as the band had to announce via Instagram at short notice. However, the concerts should not be canceled completely, but should be rescheduled at a later date – on December 15th and 16th.

The tickets remain valid. People who cannot make the rescheduled appointments also have the option of getting their money refunded.

The other two Copenhagen dates on December 4th and 5th should go ahead as planned. The four concerts that have been scheduled for Berlin – December 8th, 9th, 11th and 12th – should not be changed either.

This is the state of Thom Yorke’s health

The band could probably only perform instrumentally at the moment, because as Radiohead’s social media post states, singer Thom Yorke is currently having to take a step back because he is struggling with a severe sore throat.

The full statement about the show’s rescheduling reads: “Radiohead deeply regrets having to announce the postponement of the first two concerts in Copenhagen this week – tonight, December 1st, and tomorrow, December 2nd. The concerts have been postponed to December 15th and 16th, respectively. Tickets for the concerts will automatically be transferred to the new date. If you would like a refund, please contact your point of purchase.”

It continues on Instagram: “We are very sad to have to postpone these two concerts at such short notice, but Thom has been diagnosed with a severe sore throat which makes it impossible for him to sing. Treatment is already underway and we hope that Thom will recover in time to play the last two concerts in Copenhagen on December 4th and 5th and all four concerts in Berlin starting December 8th. We are overwhelmed by the audience’s reaction to these concerts and love being back on stage It goes without saying that we feel terrible about being forced to postpone these concerts.”
