One of the most talked about domestic series of the beginning of the year has been seen on MTV L/over – forever mine.
The psychological thriller series starring Krista Kosonen and Jani Volanen saw the light of day at the end of January. Already last spring, the series was nominated as one of the eight drama series in the main series of the prestigious Canneseries festival.
L/over – forever mine got his script inspiration from Nina Honkanen’s novel Bottom contact. In the series directed by Aleksi Salmenperä, the relationship between Roosa (Kosonen), who works in the publishing industry, and Juha (Volanen), a writer, begins at work.
A fast-moving love story turns haunting and violent. Roosa’s best friend Paula (Oona Airola) has her own doubts about Juha.
Viewers quickly found the series and were hooked. Social media praised, for example, the actors’ performances and the realistic depiction of the dark theme of the series.
The series, which has become very popular, has already reached around 2.13 million Finns on MTV Katsomo and MTV’s channels and was thus one of the channel’s most watched programs at the beginning of the year.
If you are going to see the acclaimed and popular new series for free, now is the time to hurry. The series will disappear from the free MTV Katsomo service on March 31. The last episode of the six-part series was seen on TV and on the free side of MTV Katsomo on March 1.
– The extensive program library of domestic drama can be viewed with an MTV Katsomo+ subscription, and the series will be shown for a shorter period of time free of charge on MTV Katsomo, comments to Iltalehte from MTV’s communications.
In the future L/over – forever mine can be watched on the streaming service only with a paid MTV Katsomo+ subscription.

Kosonen and Volanen, who played the main roles in the series, commented on the reception of the series earlier in MTV’s announcement.
Kosonen feels that it has been important to highlight the topic covered by the series.
– Domestic violence is a huge problem in Finland and it is great that through the series it has become more visible and caused discussion. Mental violence is often something that is more difficult to define and identify, and I hope that the series has helped people to recognize situations and seek help, commented Kosonen.
Volanen, on the other hand, commented that he was surprised by the popularity of the series.
– I was surprised by the popularity of the series and showed my ignorance with it. Also, the amount of feedback from the viewers – but above all the focus on the topic – revealed that we had not made a report about a special case, but about an all-too-general problem. Of course, it was secretly sad that I wasn’t playing a “very special” person, but apparently unfortunately ordinary, Volanen said.
