This is what the Budget Day plans mean for your wallet | Politics

Due to the package of measures, the picture should look like this next year:

In the foreword to the Budget Memorandum, Minister Sigrid Kaag (Finance) speaks of a ‘historic’ package when it comes to ‘size’ . However, not all pain can be alleviated. ‘Governments cannot completely eliminate the effects of inflation and we must be aware that policy is never free.’

Kaag further writes: ‘The war on the European continent will cast its shadow and will also have far-reaching consequences in our country. Consequences that run very unevenly through society and hit some much harder than others. The measures taken by the cabinet are intended to support people’s livelihoods in the coming year, to put a stop to growing poverty and to give the Dutch a helping hand.’
