The numbers of Lauri Huttunen’s company, Huttunen Events Oy, known for Latela programs, have come down, reports Ilta-Sanomat.
IS says that according to the company’s recent financial statements, the company’s turnover decreased to around 122,000 euros last year from almost 177,000 euros the previous year. The company’s result was a loss.
A year earlier, the company’s profit was 5,800 euros, but in the most recent accounting period, a loss of 3,600 euros was recorded.
IS says, for example, that personnel costs have increased significantly during 2025. Salaries and bonuses increased by around 24,000 euros.
Huttunen was convicted in February 2026 of spreading information that violates private life, defamation and illegal threats.
Huttunen’s sentence is legally binding.
The victims of the crimes were two people belonging to Huttunen’s close circle, one of whom is a minor. The actions that led to the verdict took place in the summer of 2024 and January 2025.
According to the verdict, the illegal threat was related to the fact that Huttunen had called the emergency center and said that he had been planning and thinking about killing the person of legal age for more than a year. During the call, it was found that he was about 2.5 per thousand drunk.
The defamation charge, on the other hand, was based on the fact that Huttunen had published an article on his Facebook account about the adult interested party, in which he claimed that he had embezzled money. According to the court, it was about presenting false information or insinuations in a way that was likely to cause damage, suffering or contempt to the injured party.
