After the first period, Finland and Switzerland are tied 0-0 in the Men’s Ice Hockey World Cup Final in Zurich, Switzerland.

The first episode was missed by radio host duo Juuso Mäkilahte and Tuukka Ritokoski, whose flight from Helsinki-Vantaa left 2.5 hours late. In a previous Instagram update, Mäkilähde doubted whether they would only see the last batch.

In a recent update, Mäkilähde says that they are in Zurich on their way to the ice rink. The update has been made at the same time as there is a set break in the final match.

– We have finally arrived in Zurich. Unfathomable situation, how can this happen, says Mäkilähde.

– But now we are going, 10–15 minutes in the direction of the hall, then we should still be able to get inside. Apparently the first set has been played. Yes, we will have time to see this game. Keep it tight guys, here we come, Mäkilähde apparently says in the taxi.

The flight was supposed to leave at 16:30 from Helsinki-Vantaa, but this didn’t happen, and it didn’t take off until 19:09 due to a thunderstorm.

It is about a 20-minute drive from Zurich Airport to the Swiss Life Arena, where the final match will be played.

Mäkilähde said earlier today that he went on an ex-tempore trip.

– A while ago, I received information that I might have a ticket to the World Cup final. I was able to buy hellishly expensive flights, Mäkilähde said earlier in the day in his Instagram stories.
