The funeral of Princess Désirée of Sweden will be held on February 19, writes Svensk Damtidning.
The family bids farewell to the late princess in Stockholm Castle Church. The funeral service will be held among the family and special guests.

During the funeral, the flag of Stockholm Royal Castle is lowered to half-mast. The same policy also applies to tickets at Drottningholm, Haga, Royal Stables and Villa Solbacken. The decision on this has been made by the king.
Unlike Princess Birgitta, Princess Désirée will not be buried in the Royal Cemetery in The Hague. Instead, he will be buried near his home, Koberg Castle in Västergötland, where he lived for over 60 years.

Princess Désirée was a member and commander of the Seraphim Order. He was appointed to this role when he was only 13 years old, in the spring of 1952.

Princess Désirée’s death was reported at the end of January. He was 87 years old when he died.
Désirée was a baron by Niclas Silfverschiöld a widow, and by marriage she became a baroness. The spouse died in 2017. They had three children.
Désirée did not enjoy being in public and she would have even wanted to give up the title of princess, but she did not succeed.
Désirée chose a private life for herself and focused on taking care of her children and her homestead in Trollhättan at Koberg Castle. According to Expressen, Désirée was happy to invite her loved ones to the village, and Kaarle Kustaa went hunting at Koberg Castle. Désirée has not been represented in royal duties.
