Who would you face in the semifinals?

One thing is certain: Germany could only meet hosts England in the final. The winners of Group A around Lucy Bronze meet Spain in the quarter-finals and are in the other tournament branch than the DFB selection. That means: A new edition of Germany’s exciting group game against “La Roja” could only take place in the final.

Should Germany reach the semi-finals, top-class players would still be waiting. Title favorites France have already been confirmed as the winners of Group D and meet the runners-up in Group C. In all probability that will be Sweden or “Oranje”. The Netherlands are currently in first place, but are level on points (4) with the Scandinavians. Even the goal difference is the same. Only the number of goals scored speaks for the Netherlands. This Sunday in a long-distance duel – Sweden against Portugal, Netherlands against Switzerland – will decide which of the two teams has to play against France.

Germany would avoid the winner of the long-distance duel until a possible final as well as the second in the France group. There, all three teams are still in the draw before the last matchday: Iceland (two points), Italy (one point), Belgium (one point).
