Podcast host and social media influencer Hanna Tikander, 31, opens in a fresh Hanna Tikander – in the podcast episode thoughts about infertility treatment.

At the time of recording the podcast, Tikander is on his way to the doctor. She says she is in the middle of her third round of IVF treatment, and this is the first time she opens up about her treatment to listeners.

– This is possibly the day when my future child will be born, he rejoices.

Tikander says in the episode that in the last couple of weeks he has scheduled injections, medicines and doctor visits.

At the time of the recording of the episode, Tikander has reached the end point of his third round of treatment, when a puncture is scheduled. In that procedure, the follicles she has grown with injections and drugs are collected and fertilized into embryos

– I don’t know if this will happen, I’m just on my way to the doctor, he is nervous.

In the episode, Tikander also talks about another IVF treatment process, which unfortunately was not successful.

– The second round of treatment, which was done in October-November, again went right under the bench. (It) just dragged me to the bottom and to a difficult place, he recalls.

During that treatment, the follicles came off prematurely, which is why the puncture, i.e. the collection, could not be done.

With the experience, he says that he now wants to focus on the process itself instead of the end result. Before recording the episode, he thought for a long time about whether he wants to share his experience, but he also feels it is important for the peer support of his listeners.

– I know that there are a lot of people who are possibly facing this same drum or are in the middle of this same drum.

Health Library according to IVF or in vitro fertilization is a fertilization treatment method in which the egg is fertilized with sperm in the laboratory and the developed embryos are transferred to the uterus. IVF treatment is used for many reasons of infertility.

The treatment includes multi-stage hormone therapy, where the ovaries are stimulated to produce more eggs, so that after fertilization, the best embryo can be transferred to the uterus and the rest frozen for later use.

In the spring, Hanna Tikander heard that her fertility had collapsed. As a result, she started fertility treatments in the summer. Tikander and his 23-year-old partner bought a home together in January.
