Ex-hockey player Marko “Mörkö” Anttila and dance teacher Kia Lehmuskoski visited MTV Good morning Finland – broadcast Tuesday morning.
The TTK competition for the dance couple was canceled on Sunday due to Anttila’s injury. Anttila told the program how the condition of the leg is at the moment.
– Such that you can’t dance with it at least. It’s a disability and you have to live with it. We’ll probably get by with a month of peace. Something positive though.
Anttila had a late arrival at the studio on Sunday. The schedules made it possible to exercise briskly and step physically.
– That’s what happened and we know the end.
Anttila said that she did not immediately realize that the evening’s dances would be left unfinished.
– But when I calmed down a bit and felt like I wasn’t even taking a single step, that was it. Of course, we still went to the investigations, Anttila said.
Lehmuskoski was at the breakfast table when Anttila called him. After that, the thinking about what to do began.
– Marko went to the doctor and I went to the studio. I was in the studio doing makeup and they put a Halloween mask on me and I didn’t know if I was going to dance today or not. It was a pretty miserable situation. I was waiting for information about how Marko is doing, Lehmuskoski said.
Lehmuskoski has had to leave TTK before. In 2023, Lehmuskoski’s dance partner, actor Jarkko Niemi, fell ill with the flu. In 2020, Lehmuskoski couple Niklas Hagman was diagnosed with corona, which is why the race was abandoned.
Lehmuskoski thinks that he has had bad luck.
– In that sense, it’s a relief that I didn’t cause this myself, but it does feel really bad. And in that sense, I laugh to myself that I hope someone still wants to dance with me. If I still come to the program, don’t be afraid.
Presenter Jesse Kamras asked Anttila what she plans to do after the program.
– We moved to Tampere just as the TTK training started. The man hasn’t really been there. I don’t even know where the medals are when my wife has had to move, Anttila laughs.
– I have also heard from my wife that now I could see my husband more at home, adds Lehmuskoski.
