Two YouTubers entered Efteling without an entrance ticket. In a video that appeared online, you can see how the duo enters the amusement park behind the scenes without employees intervening. This is what amusement park website Looopings reports.
The men walk onto the site through a staff entrance gate. Although this normally requires a staff pass, they simply follow others through a turnstile. They then wait at a large gate between the staff parking lot and the park grounds until it opens. Then they walk into the amusement park unhindered.
The video shows how the two then mingle with regular visitors. The makers say that they carried out the campaign because they thought the entrance fee to Efteling was too high.
Efteling finds this action unacceptable
Efteling confirms against Looopings that the incident took place and calls the action unacceptable. A spokesperson said that unauthorized entry into the park is a punishable offense. The amusement park is therefore investigating what steps may be taken against the two YouTubers.
In addition, there is an internal evaluation of how the YouTubers were able to enter the site. According to Efteling, the security measures are intended to prevent unauthorized persons from gaining access to the park via staff routes.
The video was published by a YouTuber with a relatively small reach. It is not clear when they secretly entered.
