U2 shared a new version of their hit ‘With or Without You’. The recording was made for her new album “Songs of Surrender”. It features reinterpretations of 40 tracks by the Irish rock band.

“With or Without You” was first released in 1987. The song sounds dreamy rocky, the bass booms and the electric guitar howls. The new version is far more streamlined, and an acoustic guitar takes the place of the original’s lush arrangement. In addition, Bono’s singing is in the foreground. The band cut the song by almost two minutes – the intro is gone and instead of a fade-out at the end, the song ends right after the chorus.

“Songs of Surrender” will be released on March 17th. Songs U2 have re-recorded include “Where The Streets Have No Name”, “Pride (In The Name Of Love)” and “Desire”. The full tracklist is HERE.
