Berlin (AP) – Between Hertha BSC, VfB Stuttgart and Arminia Bielefeld, the final questions in the relegation battle will be decided on the last day of the Bundesliga.
FC Augsburg, on the other hand, has mathematically secured relegation prematurely. These are the scenarios for matchday 34:
• also saves himself in the event of a defeat in Dortmund if VfB Stuttgart doesn’t win against 1. FC Köln
• Must be relegated if they lose in Dortmund if Stuttgart beat Cologne
VfB Stuttgart (30 points, 39:58 goals)
• saves itself directly with a win against 1. FC Köln if Hertha BSC loses in Dortmund
• plays in the relegation against the third-placed team in the 2nd division if Hertha scores points in Dortmund or if VfB don’t win against Cologne after a Hertha defeat
• are even relegated straight away in a defeat against Cologne if Arminia Bielefeld also closes the deficit of seven goals on goal difference in a home win against RB Leipzig
• still qualify for relegation with a home win against RB Leipzig if VfB Stuttgart lose to Cologne and Arminia turn their goal difference, currently seven goals worse, in their favour
