A Portuguese football great Cristiano Ronaldo has once again become the world’s best-paid soccer player.
Economic magazine Forbes released its annual list of the world’s highest-paid soccer players on Thursday, and 40-year-old Ronaldo holds the number one spot by a clear margin.
Forbes estimates Ronaldo’s annual income to be a whopping 280 million dollars, or about 240 million euros. The sum includes the player’s salary as well as income from sponsorship contracts and commercial collaborations.
So Ronaldo Earns about 19.95 million euros per month, 4.6 million euros per week, 656,000 euros per day, 27,300 euros per hour and 456 euros per minute.
News agency Bloomberg reported last week that Ronaldo became soccer’s first billionaire.
Messi far behind
Ronaldo leaves his rivals far behind. His longtime rival Lionel Messi is second on the list with $130 million in revenue. Messi currently plays in the American MLS league in Inter Miami’s shirt.
The one who plays in Saudi Arabia, like Ronaldo, ranks third on the Forbes list Karim Benzemawith annual revenues of $104 million. In fourth place is the French star of Real Madrid Kylian Mbappé With 95 million dollars and in fifth place, Manchester City’s Norwegian goal stick Erling Haaland for $80 million.
