Immediately on Saturday morning, Rovanperä suffered two tires, but still kept the second place in the race. In the afternoon, problems increased. The Finnish star’s car immediately hit the jog opening, after which the going was just as much.
Rovanperä is fifth in Kenya’s rally after Saturday, but the difference is six minutes.
– There have been quite a few difficulties today. Now in the afternoon, a loose stone was in front and the hanging from the left was broken. There was quite a bit after that, Rovanperä said.
– This was not an easy day, but the afternoon was worse. With another stroke, with Sleeping Warrior, we hit a muddy section of a loose stone. I hit a large stone at the front of the car, but it broke the suspension from the left.
Rovanperä repaired his car after each piece, but no big help was found.
– We made repairs at every point, it was a basic MacGyver. We did what we could do with the spare parts in the car. There weren’t as many parts and tools as I expected. Then we just put the rumble’s extension from the bolt hole and the clamps there, Rovanperä said.
– Then the cloths were also put. It didn’t stick properly. Both snippets from about halfway through were driven at a half -transitional pace.
Also the leading teammate Elfyn Evans I popped to help when the current rules permitted, but it was a skinny comfort.
