The Rapwelt mourns Xatar. After it became known on May 9, 2025 that the rapper and businessman had died completely surprisingly the day before, there was a condolences from the hip-hop scene.

Farid Bang & Rooz Lee mourning around Xatar
Farid Bang published a photo of the two on his Instagram account and wrote: “Rip Gewar !!! May your soul rest in peace, my sincere condolences to your family. You have left German rap as one of the biggest rap legends-I will always keep you remembered well.”
In an Instagram story, rap journalist Rooz Lee wrote: “I couldn’t believe it and hoped that it was just a rumor. Rest in power.”

Xatar: Information about his death
Gewar Hajabi alias Xatar is dead. According to media reports, the influential rapper and entrepreneur on Thursday evening, May 8, 2025, was found in a Cologne apartment. As the Cologne public prosecutor announced, the body of the 41-year-old was discovered around 6:30 p.m., whereupon a death investigation was initiated. According to Ulrich Bremer, spokesman for the public prosecutor, the autopsy carried out on Friday did not result in any evidence of external violence, and external negligence is therefore currently excluded. A chemical-toxicological report was initiated to clarify the cause of the death.
