Mathys Tel is moving to Bayern Munich. The record champion pays more than 20 million euros for the 17-year-old. In Munich he received a five-year contract until 2027. An investment in the future.
Even if he is to receive the Lewandowski number at Bayern, his new coach Julian Nagelsmann says: “He’s not a one-to-one replacement for Lewy – that’s normal at this age. Maybe he can score ten goals this season, then we would be very happy.”
Tel should be set up carefully. The 1.83-metre-tall striker has only completed seven brief appearances in Ligue 1 for Rennes. He didn’t score a goal, but still set a club record.
