Gerard Depardiéu is accused of rape and other sexual crimes.

Actor Gérard Depardieu is suspected of rape, which allegedly took place in 2018, as well as several other sexual crimes. A total of 15 women have said that the French actor treated them inappropriately.

Now a total of 56 actors, producers and directors have lined up to support Depardieu. They claim that Depardieu was the victim of a lynching.

– When you behave like this towards Gérard Depardieu, it is at the same time an attack on the art of cinema. France owes him. Depriving this actress would be a loss, it would be death for art, for our art, 24 women, among them the former president of the country Nicolas Sarkozy spouse Carla Bruni says in an article published by Le Figaro.

The news agency AFP reported on the matter.

The current president of the country Emmanuel Macron is on the same lines. According to him, Depardieu has made France proud.

– You can blame it on something. Perhaps there are victims. I respect them and I want them to be able to defend their rights. However, there is always the presumption of innocence, Macron said.

Macron’s comment is considered exceptionally direct and aimed at the country’s culture minister Love Abdul Malak towards.

Malak has criticized Depardieu, who, in addition to suspicions of sexual crimes, has made friends Vladimir Putin with and moved out of France to avoid taxes. The Minister of Culture has suggested that Depardieu be stripped of his Legion of Honor.

Depardieu, one of France’s most internationally known actors, said in an interview in 1978 that he participated in gang rapes as a child. They were his according to him, a natural part of growth. Time magazine published excerpts from the interview in 1991, i.e. after Depardieu had made an international breakthrough Green Card in the movie.

– There is no such thing as rape. Those girls wanted it. It’s just a matter of the girl putting herself in the situation she wants to be in, Depardieu said in a 1978 interview.

He later denied what he said and claimed that Time magazine had translated it French interview wrong.

A documentary about Depardieu was shown in France earlier this month, in which Depardieu’s outrageous comments are heard. In 2018, during a trip to North Korea, the actor repeatedly made sexual comments and insinuations to a female interpreter.

In addition to this, Depardieu sexualizes the little girl riding the horse.

Depardieu denies having committed any crimes.
