SV Elversberg has strengthened for the third time this summer with a professional from the Bundesliga. From FC Augsburg, left -back Lasse Günther changes to the second division club. The 22-year-old received a contract until 2028. Nothing became known about the amount of the transfer. Günther was originally bound to the FCA until 2026.
Born in Munich, he has been traveling in the 2nd league in the last three seasons, each with loan near Regensburg, Wiesbaden and Karlsruhe. So far, 58 games have been available in the German football sub-house. Günther has only been used seven times for Augsburg since 2021. In the Saarlanders, it is the seventh new addition to 2025/26.
“Despite his young age, Lasse has already gained a lot of experience. He brings a lot of pace, is brave and has the ability to actively turn into the offensive game again and again. We are pleased that he will strengthen our team with his qualities,” said SVE sports director Ole Book. Günther said: “The SV Elversberg has done an excellent job in recent years and showed great football. I am absolutely motivated to go on this way with the club and to get the fans too.
