Third point for Nieuw Buinen, Twedo remains the leader after victory at HOC

FOOTBALL – In Sunday football, a number of make-up matches were scheduled tonight. Nieuw Buinen, for example, in the 2nd division L, took a very clever point against fellow leader GVAV-Rapiditas.

The 1-1, after a 0-1 deficit at halftime, meant the third point for the team of trainer Loewi Piebes. Despite the point, Nieuw Buinen remains behind in the 2nd division L, but the gap with number 11 (Gruno) is only four points. The numbers 10 and 11 in this class can still save their lives through the post-competition.

Due to the draw, GVAV-Rapiditas missed the opportunity to put Valthermond two points behind. That failed and so both teams now share the lead.

1st class F: Gomos fights to point

In the 1st division F, Gomos got no further than a 2-2 draw against Jubbega at home. Kevin van den Belt gave the guests the lead, but Jannes Siegers equalized before the break. After the break, Jubbega, with a number of former pros in the ranks, took the lead again via Dennis de Haan. But Martin Drent’s men showed resilience and with a lot of passion and struggle the yellow-blacks still managed to get one point out of the fire. Fifteen minutes before the end, Jordi van Esch determined the final score at 2-2.

Because of the point, Gomos remains fifth in the 1st division F, with 16 points from 10 matches.

The new, now only, leader is Hoogezand after tonight. The team of trainer Germain Beck (from Assen) defeated competitor WVV in Winschoten with 1-3. As a result, Hoogezand is on 22 points from 10 matches. WVV and VKW follow with 19 out of 10. Germanicus is fourth with 18 out of 10.

3rd class B: Forward loses points, good news for SVZ

In the 3rd class B there was good news for SVZ from Zeijen. Co-leader Forward lost expensive points against low flyer Siddeburen (1-1). Because of that point, the Groningen students now have one point more than SVZ, where it could have been three.

In this class, Nieuw-Roden lost two expensive points by losing a lead twice at number last ZNC: 2-2. The team from Drenthe took the lead twice before half time thanks to goals from Wilco and Sander Drent, but twice the home team had an answer. Patrick Johannes scored the 1-1 and shortly after the break Jeroen Dijk determined the final score at 2-2. Incidentally, Nieuw-Roden had to play the game with one man less in the last half hour, after a red card for Thomas Jansen. Due to the draw, Nieuw-Roden remains in the danger zone of this 3rd class B.

3rd class C: Twedo wins top match at HOC

Twedo won the top match in the 3rd class C at HOC with 0-1. On the stroke of half-time, Sander Boer, with his sixth goal of the season, scored the only goal. Shortly before time, Gert Middeljans received a red card from the home club.

The other high flyer in this class, Musselkanaal, had a simple evening. The green shirts won 1-5 at SPW. Rolf Kayser (3) and Jordy Oost (2) took care of the goals.

Thanks to the victory, Twedo remains the leader in the 3rd division C, with 23 points from 9 matches. Musselkanaal follows in second place, with 22 out of 9. HOC seems to have dropped out for the time being. The formation of trainer Bas Nibbelke has 18 out of 9.

3rd class D: HODO simple past Orange Black

Leader HODO had no trouble at all with Oranje Zwart in Wanneperveen tonight. It became 0-4. At halftime, the meeting was actually already decided (0-3). The hits were made by Sander Danes (2), Jorny Otten and Clenn Kikkert.

Competitor Oldeholtpade made no mistake and won 1-2 at Steenwijkerwold. The gap between numbers 1 and 2 is four points. HODO has 22 points from 9 matches, Oldeholtpade has 18 from 9. Protos and Raptim follow with 16 from 9 in third and fourth place.

In this 3rd division D, Ruinen won 3-1 at USV and Sweel lost 3-1 at Trinitas. Because of that defeat, the Orange Shirts remain at the bottom.

4th class A: Wacker runs further away from competitors

In the 4th class A, Wacker is heading for the championship. At subtopper RKO, the team from De Wijk won 2-5, making the gap to number 2 (Steenwijker Boys) already 10 points. Incidentally, Wacker did play a duel more than the Frisians.

Coen Snoeijenbos (2), Tom Oudman (2) and Edwin Dekker were accurate for Wacker.

5th class D: Roswinkel loses and sees red in a bizarre duel

In the 5th division D, just before Sunday’s top match against Buinerveen, HHCombi seemed to run into an expensive defeat. On their own field, sub-topper Sportclub Roswinkel brutally took the lead through two hits from Bjorn Helder.

But the home team recovered excellently in the second half. The merging club from Hijken and Hooghalen made up for the deficit and won 3-2 with a pure hat trick from Julian Otten (who also missed a penalty). It resulted in frustration among the guests who saw two players leave with a red card in the absolute final phase: Willem Pagters and Jeroen de Roo.

With the win, HHCombi is at the top of the 5th division D, with 20 points from 8 matches. Buinerveen, which is now second, has 19 out of 7.

On Sunday, HHCombi and Buinerveen will play against each other. The duel can be seen in the evening in Our Club
