Third place for Rijsenhouter Nils Eekhoff at ZLM Tour

The third place for Nils Eekhoff in the final classification of the ZLM Tour. The rider from Rijsenhout crossed the finish line in 17th place on the final stage. As a result, Eekhoff dropped one spot in the standings and thus took the bronze medal.

The fourth and final stage covered a distance of 158.5 kilometers. In Oosterhout in Brabant, the Dutchman Olav Kooij crossed the finish line first after a mass sprint. He therefore also won the ZLM Tour. Number three Nils Eekhoff finishes at a distance of 17 seconds on winner Kooij.

Earlier this week, Eekhoff did win the prologue. The 6.6-kilometre ride meant the very first professional victory for the Team DSM cyclist.

There was less success this week for Cees Bol. The Alkmaarder in the service of the Kazakh Astana fell out of the prizes and did not get further than fifth place in the final ranking.
